Several popular recording artists have come out of the this great city. Most every genre of music in Atlanta has been represented for fans to enjoy. There is something for everyone. Western, hip-hop and alternative music are among the genres represented and having a good time is not hard in this vibrant city.

The city's bustling nightlife and huge concert arenas make it a great place to enjoy local musicians as well as national touring acts. The bar scene is very active with many nightclubs featuring live entertainment. Blues clubs here are legendary and many modern clubs also feature the latest in hip hop and alternative rock as well.

Concerts for musicians like Elton John and Pearl Jam play in arenas and attract quite a large crowd. This helps the city build its reputation and helps revenue as well. Atlanta does not compare to Nashville when it comes to rising country musicians into fame, but it does have its fair share of these musicians there.

Rock and roll and alternative music also have a slice of the pie here. The Black Crowes and the Indigo Girls are among those in the rock and roll genre who got their start in Atlanta. Many budding artists choose to go to Atlanta to make their start due to these stars' examples.
